You know, I hate to say it, but I got trapped in such a universe last weekend.

The elevators at the Marriott in downtown San Francisco do this stupid 1 & 10 thru 25-or-whatever thing, but if you want to go to 9, you have to get off at 4 and walk to another hall and get another elevator to go to 9.
Clear?

Makes my head hurt just remembering it.

And try it after a night of drinking.

A *lot*.

I'm really quite proud that the room was found at all, with few wrong turns.

The sad truth: there really *are* elevators that don't go to the other floors! Not sure if your Miss Bimbo was talking about my predicament, however.
