I stopped watching television at the start of the year and I haven’t lived in the United States for 30 months now, so I am completely and totally out of touch with popular American culture.
So, I don’t know who these Flight of the Conchord guys are (except that that name always reminds me of this beloved childhood film) but I adore this Ye-Ye-esque Scopitone-flavored video of theirs. Pamplemousse!
And they’ve talked on the phone a handful of times. Oguchi called after Sept. 11 to make sure Otto and her family were safe, and Otto reciprocated after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan a little more than a year ago.Pen pals since 1949 meet up for the first time. So touching.

oh em gee i love these guys. they are prime entertainment.
They had a comedy special on HBO a couple years back (very funny) and then they had a series on HBO (kind of like Tenacious D) that just wrapped up. Is good.
